The Chart of Accounts is found by clicking on General Ledger/Chart of Accounts in the navigation panel.
The Chart of Accounts toolbar/ribbon
Description of each Chart of Accounts toolbar button
Add ledger account: Adds a new ledger account to the Chart of Accounts below the currently highlighted ledger account
Edit: Edits a ledger account that has already been set up
Refresh: Once a new account has been created or updated, click on “Refresh” to see the new account created or the latest updates.

Allocations and Accruals: Opens a new page detailing the allocations and accruals for the highlighted account.
Budget: Opens a new page detailing the budget for the highlighted account.
Account statement: Opens a new page with an account statement for the highlighted account
Transactions: Opens a new page detailing all transactions for the highlighted account.

VAT by Customer/Vendor: Opens a new page detailing VAT by Customer/Vendor on the Operating statement (this button is country specific)
“Edit all” tab in Chart of Accounts

Edit all: In order to activate the menu buttons above, edit mode must be selected. Once in the “Edit all” tab, editing mode can be chosen by clicking on the “Edit all” button in the toolbar (ribbon).
Add ledger account: Adds a new ledger account to the Chart of Accounts below the currently highlighted ledger account
Copy ledger account: Copies the ledger account highlighted and inserts a copy directly underneath the account copied.
Delete ledger account: Deletes the ledger account highlighted
Save: Saves any changes made
Selecting the “Edit all’ tab allows changes to be made to any or all accounts without requiring that each account is opened individually, saving time when changing several accounts.

Add ledger account
Click on “Add ledger account” in the Chart of Accounts toolbar (ribbon) and complete the detail form shown in the screenshot below.
Description of the toolbar buttons for add ledger account:
Save: Saves the new ledger account once the form has been completed.
Cancel: Cancels the edits and goes back to the prior screen.
Delete: Deletes the account shown. A warning will appear before the account is actually deleted.

Fields on this form with special functionality:
Lookup-ID: for example, type in B or Bank, for the system to look up.

DR/CR proposal: Suggests whether the entry is usually a debit or a credit and will therefore jump directly to the debit or credit column, when a transaction is entered.
