It is easy to set up a new set of accounts in Uniconta. Use the navigation panel to go to Company/Maintenance/Create a new company, as shown in the screenshot below.
(Click on screenshot to enlarge).
‘Setup’ box: Select either ‘Import company (Convert data from C5, e-conomic or NAV)’ or ‘Copy setup’. For help converting from C5 or e-conomic, read more here. If ‘Copy setup’ is selected, read below.
‘Description’ box: Enter the company VAT number in the ‘VAT No’ field. If this does not retrieve the company data (Name, address etc.) from the national register, then enter the details manually.
‘Copy setup’ box: There are two options if the ‘Copy setup’ is selected in the ‘Setup’ box at the top of the form: ‘Your company’ or ‘Standard’. If an existing set of accounts is to be used, then select the accounts either under ‘Your company’ or ‘Standard’. Check the appropriate boxes to indicate whether the Chart of Accounts, VAT, Dimensions etc. should be set up for the new company. If VAT codes, journals, number sequences etc. have already been set up for this set of accounts, then Uniconta can be used with a just few minor adjustments. If no accounts are selected under ‘Your company’ or ‘Standard’ then the company accounts for the new company will be empty.
