Import from a file to the Journal

A file of transactions can be imported directly into the Uniconta Journal.

Here is an example of a file of transactions:

Debtor;VAT_code;account;Customer_number;Invoice;Invoice_date;Name;Invoice_amount;Currency;
Debtor;U25;1010;1;4217;29-06-2017;Customer1;2.061,25;dkk;

Column 1 contains the account types. (Uniconta compatible). See Chart of Accounts.
Column 2 contains VAT codes. (Uniconta compatible). See VAT codes.
Column 3 contains Customer numbers (Uniconta compatible). See Customers.

Create an import set up before importing the file of transactions into Uniconta.

Click on ‘Import from file’

Add the numbers in the correct fields.

E.g. Date = 6
Account type = 1
Account = 3

After setup

Click on ‘Load file’. The file will be imported into the Uniconta journal.

Note: Loading amounts into Currency columns:

It is possible to load amounts into the currency columns. The local currency column will not be updated until the amounts are posted. ‘Simulate’ the Journal to view the exchange rates used.
